Keep on keeping on... I think... So I just wanted to give you guys an update before I lose myself to Desperate Housewives, let you know how I was doing. I managed to get the money for rent, and I'll be going to get my car tire tomorrow. I'm going to see if I'll be able to get my oil change on Friday after I get out of work for the few hours they have me scheduled. I'm only a few steps away from getting my phone back on at least. I'm so tired of using Xan's phone... I feel bad using his minutes like I am.

But, my rent and my car need to be taken care of before I can do the phone, or new work clothes. I'll do my work clothes next though. By the time I can do my phone it'll probably be with my next pay check. Who knows.

But anyway, that's my update, I really don't have anything else to talk about right now aside from my recent Moulin Rouge jonesing. For some reason the radio around here loves playing the movie's version of Lady Marmalade. Sexy ass Mya...

OH! If anyone can find a way to save Vine vids to your comp, can you please let me know? It would be greatly appreciated.

And cue the long, irritated, sigh. So it's just one more thing after another right now and I'm not sure who, but I'm about to bitch slap someone...

So, the net is down again, I'm using someone else's internet so I can give ya'll an update. Basically, I'm having it hard right now and I'm not sure what to do until Xan gets a job. I don't want to have to give him a deadline, but at least I know that if I do, and he doesn't make it, there is somewhere he can go so I wouldn't be kicking him out on the street. He hasn't found one yet and I'm struggling to keep air in my floaties in this financial tidal pool we all live in.

By the 14th of next month I need to find money to get my tags converted from Cherokee county to Cobb county, and get my license changed to say my current address so I can do so. At the same time I might as well renew my tags since they expire next month. At the same time, I need to find 45 to get my phone back on, 20 something for an oil change, 15 for a tire, however much pants and shoes for work are going to cost since that comes out of my pocket obviously, all while trying to keep gas in my car and pay rent... The list goes on.

And actually I took a moment to do my address change online, and hopefully I'll get my new ID within the 2-4 weeks and not have trouble like the last time I got my license here. The sooner I can get this thing, the sooner I can get my crap changed over and not worry about doing something wrong. But that's still leaving the other stuff... I need a giant fluffy bed I can collapse in, kind of like this one:

I would never come out of that thing, that's for sure. Anyway, I have other stuff I need to work on, but I just wanted to give you guys an update. Thanks to all my new viewers, and the ones that have been here!

So I'm moving today... Kinda...

I'm working on moving my works from fanworks.org to Archive of Our Own, in case FW does shut down. If it does shut down, I will be sad, but at least I'll have a fail safe in AOO. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to my newest viewer(s) in the Ukraine for joining in ^_^. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy getting to see new green parts of my country list filling in .

And also to anyone else in the other countries watching me, if you're new to the blog, thank you also for reading ^_^.

I need to get to work on moving those stories, so I'll post again later (internet willing).

Okay, so I think it's about time I bring this up. Every now and then I mention having inspiration, and working on chapters, and it's for the site I post on. The one site is awesome, has no censorship rules, and I haven't been kicked off yet for my type of writing. The thing is, this site is about to go away, unless the ones of us who still use it can bring some new members around and it would mean a lot if I could help keep this site around since it is one of the better ones I use.

So if you like fan fiction of any type, there is a vast amount to pick from there, so please go check it out. If you like it, join up so you can read the adult material and whatnot.

FanWorks

It's been through it's ups and downs, but it's still around for now.

What I will say is this... I hate Comcast. I hate it with the fiery passion of 1,000 suns. (Props if you know what that's from). The internet only came back on as of today. Since the day after my last post it has been down, sometimes not even showing as an option on the computer, so I wouldn't be lying if I said I wasn't a smidge irritated. I'm paying them for what? Grrrr...

Anyway, I don't really have anything new to talk about, just wanted to give you guys an update that I'm alive. I haven't been killed off yet. I am however off work today, and Nojuan and Xan have stricken me with bed rest since my right ankle has been severely sprained and I kept working with it. I had to deliver to this one house with only 2 steps, but the second step was basically two steps in one, basically meant for a damn gazelle, and when I came down off the second step my ankle wobbled and popped. Since then it's been out of commission but I kept walking about on it, including working with it. Including conquering apartment stairs and sharp inclines with it. It's gotten so that I really can't put any weight on it without extreme pain, so the opossum and folf (fox x wolf) have basically tied me to the bed so I can't damage it more.

I know, I know, I do need to rest it... But I'm my grand-father's grand-kit. I get all my stubbornness and work ethic from him. He would have kept working with it until he knew he could take a break, so today is me taking my break.

Well, I'm off, I have stuff I need to catch up to date on, and I still really don't have anything to talk about, so I'll... Actually... I have to tell you about what happened 3-4 days ago.

So, I get to work, and I'm opening with Mitch, Mike, and one of our two Matts, and when I get there, off to the side is a large, 20 pizza, timed order for Copeland's. And all day I'm hoping I'll get this order, because something that big, to a place that high class, you know there will be a good tip in there. I've got a tire showing thread, I need a good tip from this, as well as good tips all day so I can swing rent. Luck was on my side and I did get the order.

So for the first ten pizzas coming out of the oven Mike and Matt were running it while Mitch made the pizzas and fed them in the oven. I was manning the phones, and for every five pizzas, I had to run them out to my car so that when the order was done, I could just take off. The first 10 went fine, and then Mike had a run and for some reason Mitch decided to get on the phones when there were still a few pizzas to be made so I had to take over the oven while Matt took to making the last few. So I'm doing fine, but when I get to the last set of five, Mitch comes over and bags the 3rd set of five for me, while I'm doing the last five, and it's at this point I notice that 2 of my last 5 are missing. They're not on the top rack so I asked Matt if he was making the last two, and Mitch snapped at me to check the bottom oven, which I hadn't been made aware it was on since all 18 had been coming out of the top oven so far.

So I checked and sure enough the bottom two are in there, that's great, but when I turn around to look for their boxes, I see the ones coming out and the labels I have don't match. At some point during the first ten pizzas, Matt and Mike were moving so fat they weren't paying attention and must have used the wrong boxes, so now Mitch is talking to me like it's my fault and telling me that if I can't man the oven I need to just get out of the way. Okay, that's one snap, I'll take it. He's flustered since this is a giant order, this early in the day, for a high class place that's never order for us before. I can understand his worries. But he takes it too far.

He tells me that now he's worried I'm not going to represent him well since I'm all flustered and not doing shit right. So I let him know I'll be fine, and he tells me he's still not sure, he should send Matt to do it, but I put my foot down and let him know I've got it. I'm fine. I'm not as flustered as he thinks I am, and I'll be just fine. So I take the last two bags out to my car along with a bag of plates, napkins, and Mitch's card, which at this point I want to rip up, but I have special instructions for it.

So I get to Copeland's and everything goes just great. I laugh and chat with the guy who had actually placed the large order while I unloaded the bags, and when all is said and done, he told me that if I ever wanted some good food to come back and he'd see me to dinner. And then he hands me my tip with a huge, Cheshire cat smile and tells me to have a good day. I get back out to my car and go to put the tip in my box and nearly drop. I had two crisp $20 bills in my hand. I seriously just got a $40 tip from this guy, and I did good on the run. I'm a preening peacock all the way back to the store with Save Rock & Roll blaring.

I get back to the store and the guy had called Mitch and spoken to him about what a great job I did getting the pizzas to them, and how nice of an employee I was. I had won them over, and granted Mitch new business. I love it.

I virtually just bitch slapped my manager and it was the first time in a long time I wore a perma-smile that long.

Thinking back on it, I'm smiling again, because it was worth showing him his ass to take the snapping before I had left the store, and him talking down to me.

ps- This post almost didn't happen because the internet died again at the end. Had to reset it again and got it back on. I'm going to have to kill someone at Comcast. I'm just not paying my damn bill, and I'm going to find a new carrier.

Okay... Who the Hell ever heard of a "safety button"?

So, last night, delivering pizzas, had to deliver to the KSU campus. Absolutely no problems until I go to leave, and my car won't start. The lights are all on, my radio can play, EVERYTHING IS WORKING, but the car is just going, "click". Luckily for me someone was helping a friend move in, so I got their attention and asked if they had cables, which I don't even know why I don't have my own, and they tried to give me a jump. It didn't even get the car to try to turn over, just that "click".

By the way, the part I'm parked at, isn't a parking space, so legally I'm not even supposed to be here, and on any other day if the KSU Campus Security came around I would have gotten a ticket and possibly even a tow. Not my fault they don't have better parking set ups, but that's a different blog for a different time. Anyway, I got a hold of my insurance company and set up a tow, and luckily KSU Security came around and they didn't give me hassle when I told them I was broken down. Unluckily my phone battery is dying so I don't know how long I have until my phone dies. If the tow truck needs to call me, I don't know how they'll be able to if it does crap out.

Also, I need to call work and let them know I'm stuck, and try to get a hold of someone who can take me to work so I can turn in my money for the night. So...by the grace of the Gods, I make the two calls I need to and lean back, trying to keep myself together. I've been going through a lot of stress lately and now, with a broken down car that I have no idea what's going on with it, all I can think of is this. If this car is broken down, how much will it take? And how long will it take? Every day I can't work, is one more day I can't pay rent for the hotel we're in. And, my car payment is coming up, how can I pay it if I have to have some kind of repair that needs to be done? So I'm pretty close to having a break down, definitely feeling nothing but a feeling of loss and defeat.

So, my friend's dad is able to come get me to take me to work, and the tow truck arrives. Everything runs smoothly on getting my car on the truck and headed home, and Nojuan's dad takes me to work. Kyle, the shift supervisor that night, lets me know he thinks it might be my starter, and if I get the part and I can't find anyone who will install it for less than $140 he'll go ahead and do it for me free of charge. So, head home and get my car off the truck bed, and go inside. By now it's almost 1am, and I'm not even tired, I stay up killing dragons on Skyrim, until about 5 when the net comes back on. Look up places and copy down numbers for who is open on a Saturday.

After a small nap, I'm feeling a little positive in regards to my search, so I make my calls and Pep Boys will check it out for free, unless they have to dig further into it. Call my insurance company, get it towed there, and during the wait, I'm feeling VERY upbeat and positive. Maybe it's just an electrical problem that's an easy fix, or it's something as simple as a loose connection... So the guy, Patrick, comes in and he tells me, he won't even look at any other option until I get the battery replaced, and they want almost $195 to do so.

Now, I only have about $140 right now, which is not good towards my cause since he won't work with me on cost. There is an Auto Zone and an O'Reilly's Auto store across the street from each other, so I asked if I can get he battery for cheap, how much would they charge to put it in since I don't have any tools of my own right now. They tell me $30-40. I'm thinking if I can get an $80 battery, I can spend $110-120 in both cost and installation, so I walk over to Auto Zone and promptly walk out when they tell me the cheapest battery they have for me is $168. No. Fuck no.

Cross the street to O'Reilly's and talk to Chris, who stops me when I tell him they won't even look at any other options until I get my battery replaced. So even he agrees that's ridiculous, and he tells me that if I give him my ID, he'll let me borrow their tester that checks out the starter, alternator, and the battery so I can tell what exactly I need since Pep Boys is not being any help to me. I do the exchange and go back to my car and test the battery, make a note of my phone of what the test results said and took it back to O'Reilly's. He lets me know it's my battery, and he would be more than happy to put it in for free for me if I can get the car over to their lot.

Now, there's this little back road that goes behind Pep Boys and leads over to a small street that crosses over to the O'Reilly's parking lot. It really is not that far of a push, so it should be easy as Hell. The only obstacle to getting there is to leave the Pep Boys parking lot there's a small uphill push, and it is a road that's used by people avoiding the traffic lights. Now, all I have with me is Nojuan, and the two of us are having Hell with this up hill push, and the car starts to slip, plus a car is coming, so I jump back in and put it in park until the car goes by and we have a moment to gather ourselves together strength wise.

The car won't come out of park. It's stuck is fucking park. So I take the keys out of the ignition and at this point, shit is starting to pile up. The car's broken down, the car won't come out of park, and we're partially in the road. My ears are so flat on my head from the vast feeling of helplessness that is just overwhelming me at this point while Nojuan is calling Xan to get some extra muscle for if we can get the car out of park. While we're waiting a couple who lives in the same hotel as us pulls up and tries to help us get it out of park, but now, da-da-da-da!!!!!! The key won't go into the off position, or come out of the ignition. <-_-> *WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE*

Now the guy is saying it could be my linkage. I know that's not cheap. I don't need this. I don't need this. This isn't happening. It's just not. They eventually leave and I'm trying to keep myself calm while I call my insurance to get it towed again, to the auto place. I called my insurance earlier, before I called shops, to ask them how many tows I'm allowed. They guy I spoke to said I had unlimited towing, up to 100 miles per tow. That's great in my book, so I call Nationwide again, and the lady tells me... "Oh, your policy doesn't cover re-tows."

And that was it. That was the bomb that broke the dam. I had a serious emotional breakdown because it just got a hell of a lot worse.

1) Car won't do anything but click.
2) Car is stuck in park.
3) Keys stuck in ignition.
4) Car partially in road.
5) Car can not be towed.
6) Even if somehow I can get the car to O'Reilly's, the trunk, where my battery is, won't open.

Add that shit to all my stress BEFORE this happened and I lost it. So a lady comes along who is now offering to see if she can get me jumped, but when we let her know it can't get jumped, she's determined to help us. While we're discussing what to do, Xan goes to see if Pep Boys has jumper cables, even though I told him it can't jump. He comes back with a mechanic, who says to me in regards to my car being stuck in park, "Did you hit the safety button?"

*cue deadpan face* "The what?"

Dude gets in the car, takes our his pen, plucks off a cover I never even noticed by my gear shift and when he hits it, shifts it into neutral and puts on the safety break so it can stay in neutral. WHO THE HELL MADE A SAFETY BUTTON!?!?!?!?!

So the lady, bless her heart, stops traffic for us by standing in the road like a determined cow, while Xan and Nojuan push and I steer the car onto the road. Once on the road, we waited for the cars she had stopped to go by, and started pushing. Once it hit the down grade of the hill, gravity took over and I steered it down to the stop sign at the road we need to cross to get to O'Reilly's. I wait for them to catch up to me and we get it to O'Reilly's, where Chris lets me know he's leaving for the day with how long it took us to get to him, but he talked to Abe, who is going to take over and help us the way he was going to.

So Abe applied the core charge to my new battery, which wound up only costing me $113 after tax, hell of a lot better than $195 Pep Boys wanted. So we get it installed, and now here comes the moment of truth. I get in the car and turn the keys....And the engine roars to life. I cut the engine, the keys go fully into the off position, and come out.

All of that stress, all of that trouble, boiled down to this. By the way, I had been up since 4pm and by the time this all comes together on being done, and it's time to go home, it's a little after 2pm. So I crashed when I got home, thanks to Xan, who carb crashed me and Nojuan, who had stayed up with me through all of this all well.

Now that I got all of that out, I'm going to go kill some dragons on Skyrim. Thank you Bethesda.

So first off I just wanted to say I'm excited to announce another Thylacine has been found! Well actually... He started following me on Twitter, but all that matters is another of my kind is around! *does happy dance*.

But good news aside, my day was pretty much shit. It was all fine until I got a delivery to go to the college, or rather, one of the buildings on the part of the campus I was delivering to. The lady who put her order in online didn't put the right address since she didn't know it. So I called her and got directions to her, which I followed, only turns out where she wanted me to park, was a no parking zone. To top it off there is no parking spot nearby so I call her and she directs me to the parking garage and gives me directions to her building from the garage. If I had followed them, instead of asking a student for directions, I would have wound up on the wrong side of the campus and had to walk back to go the right way.

So I followed the new directions and FINALLY made my way to the building, and no one knows where the Hell this lady is. So I call her, AGAIN, and she tells me to take the elevators on my right, and when I do, I get told, "Oh hon, the two halves of the building aren't connected. You have to go back down and take the elevators to the left. By the way, I kid you not, but it is a mile from the garage to the building, so my ankle injury is not all that happy with me right now. So I finally get to the office and the elephant that was waiting for me hands me $3 even though she knew what all I had to go through to get to her. It was so tempting to rage quit right there and smash the pizza in her smirking face, but I didn't... I calmly walked out and made my way out of the building.

Upon exiting the building I hear this weird noise, and I look to my left, and this is where it got harder not to go back in and tie her trunk around her neck to strangle her. In front of the building was a road that I thought was a service road when I walked up, but now I see it's not a service road... It's the road leading to the first stop light, which she said went nowhere near her building.

So in front of me I have the road she told me would be useless to me, and I have to walk a mile back to my car in the brutal heat of the summer sun. Cue eruption. I couldn't stop it. A string of curses and shouts erupted from me, startling several students as they came and went from the building, but I didn't care. I had been driving all over Hell and creation, walked a mile with a busted ankle, and now had to walk back said mile when the road I needed all along was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING.

image

That's pretty much it... Just yeah....

So I made it back to my car, but suffered in the heat since I'm stuck wearing a turtle neck all the time due to my tattoo. I have a headache which is only causing me to be light-headed, and right now I'm waiting for Xan and Nojuan to get back home with dinner so I can eat for the first time this whole day.

Wish me luck staying alive until then.

Wifi can be so unreliable and I'm learning this the hard way. Wifi is actually the internet I always use, and it's through Comcast, need I say more??

So anyway, net went down again for the past few days and of course when it does come back on we're due to get bad storms here in Kennesaw for the next 2 days. Which is code for, "Hey Lily, don't enjoy the net too long." Damn comcast and damn wifi.

Anyway, so in other news, I realized I've been doing something at work, subconsciously, and it took yesterday's almost aneurism to point it out to me. Some person (idiot fucking moronic dumbshit) has been putting the pizza pans in the soap water, without doing a hot rinse to break off almost all the grease first, which of course leaves this filmy, disgusting water. Which also means the pans have to be removed, the water dumped and refreshed, the pans, now with wet layers of grease to be rinsed off and THEN put in the new soapy water. I've been bitching to anyone who would hear me out for almost 2 weeks now and yesterday... Yesterday I berated an elder.

Now for those of you reading this who don't know me, I have VAST amounts of respect for my elders; I never say a mean word to them (almost even when they start with me). I have put up with them being rude (uncalled for) to me and judging (because of gauges in my ears and styles I put my head fur into) and still smiled because they come from a time I wish I could have been around in. It's out of envy and respect that I try to be polite and kind to them as often as possible. Until yesterday.

Harvey, an old armadillo, right as I came around the corner dumped a whole stack of pans in the water I had just run before going out on a run and coming back. Before I could even stop myself, this berating, shaming tone word-vomited his name out of my mouth and it startled both him and the opossum who was doing dishes of his own. He looked right at me as more spilled out before I could put up the flood gates. "Tell me I didn't just see you doing that!?"

The same guy who says to me anytime I'm complaining about it, "I know Lily, people are dumbasses. They just need to learn how to do their job right," turns around and does it himself! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't caught him doing it. Luckily after that I was able to shut the flood gates because I saw how red he got in embarrassment. It caught me off guard too that I erupted like that but Hell...

Which helped me see the thing I've been doing. To make sure dishes are being done right, not only do I opt to be the Dish Bitch at closing, but even throughout the day I'm the one sneaking in the back to make sure I'm the one doing dishes when I'm on shift. Instead of doing boxes, I'm doing dishes. Someone else can do the boxes... I didn't even mean to start it but I can't stand it when people don't do the job we're paid the same amount to do and I'm having to clean behind them. I might as well beat them to the punch and make sure it's done right.

Speaking of the devil, I have to get out of here and get my tail to work.
